Now just so I'm not being super unhelpful, I understand that your question really meant something like "how long will it take me to know the basics of them well enough that someone will pay me to make something for them?". When they put 9 or 10 stars for Illustrator, I know that either A) they don't know what Illustrator can really do, or B) They're lying. That's why I love these technologies, they are so unbelievably powerful and versatile, and by the time you've figured out about 50% of what a version is capable of, Adobe has released the next CC update and you're back to square one.
I know this because I learn something new almost every single day. These days I work around 50-60 hours a week with PS, IL and INDD and although some work colleagues see me as a 'power user' I secretly know that I know next to nothing about the actual scope of what these apps can do.
